Description of the monitoring equipment utilized in the Control Center
The support center is equipped with the following:
- Special equipment for monitoring and administration of remote IT infrastructures, as well as the needed personnel for assuring 24x7 monitoring and prompt reaction in case of occurring incidents
- Optical connectivity of 4 Mb/s towards the Bulgarian peering has been provided for setting up secure information channels to the remote networks
- A commutated connection for remote diagnostics and management
- Means and equipment, offering simulation possibilities of different widely used telecommunication protocols
The center offers registration of service requests via the web site of the company. The activities for the support of the service requests can be followed online by the requesting party.
The center has at its disposal the following technical equipment for monitoring:
- Specialised system for monitoring of the network infrastructure
- Specialised system for monitoring of the computing resources
- Devices for setting up VPN networks towards clients
- Equipment for commutated access
- PDA devices for mobile access to the monitoring equipment
Response times for support of the Control center
The abovementioned human resources and structure of service centers for functional support of the Control center shall provide the following services for systems and equipment:
- Centralised administration of all systems in the network
- Support of the usernames of the schools in an Active Directory via a specialized web page
- Registration and updating of users via a specialized web page and support of a 10 MB mailbox for each user
- Web hosting for each school with content provided by the school
- Daily maintenance and update of the system for security and content filtering
- Periodical reporting on the condition of the network, the load balance as well as giving recommendations in case of need
- Daily network and user administration
- Daily maintenance and monitoring of the IT security policies
- Daily control of the system for archiving of critical data
- Helpdesk for the network users during working hours, assuring competent help in solving arising issues during the exploitation of the network
